Ryan founded the California Cannabis Team in July of 2021 with the mission of “Connecting People to the Plant,” more specifically, in its highest form, California’s finest grown and curated sinsemilla that many of us have been blessed to experience. Ryan’s longtime passion for the cultivation of cannabis began over 21 years ago and inspired his study of agricultural science at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.

Ryan led the cultivation team at Caliva beginning in October 2017, helping them to achieve top-selling strains and brands like Alien OG, Fun Uncle, and Monogram. Ryan is most proud of achieving one of his life goals by bringing home the gold medal for Caliva for Hybrid Flower, Zcube, in the Bay Area High Times Cannabis Cup in June 2019.

Ryan’s vision for the California Cannabis Team is a world-class research and education company that brings honor and respect to the plant and to the legacy cultivators who perfected the art and science of fine cannabis in California.
